About the Author & Artist

Author Karen Daniels holds a degree in behavioral psychology. She believes there is no greater itinerary than traveling the human soul.  Karen is author of The Zaddack Tales, a published trilogy that fuses Karen's knowledge of animals with science fiction and the metaphysical. In everything she writes Karen aims to bring the idea of inner self into our every day existence, to present some aspect of the single thing she feels is most important in life; individual spirituality. Whether she's writing for children or adults her writing goal is to present spiritual ideas within the context of a fun read.

Artist Marla Thirsk is a long time resident of a remote coastal town on Vancouver Island, Canada. Known as the town's Artist, Marla is deeply committed to the arts in her community and has been President of the Pacific Rim Art Society since 1996. She has created many works of Art in different mediums and styles, teaches classes, organizes many diverse artistic exhibitions, has had numerous showings, and sold paintings around the globe.
      Most of this has taken place since turning 40. After going through an intense personal tragedy she decided to go for the one true happiness in her life, her art. "The moment I made that decision life got down and rolled in ecstasy at my feet."
